After launching the AI Playbook for Design Teams in mid-October, I’ve been fielding a lot of great questions and facilitating ongoing discussions with leaders in design. My goal with this blog and the Designing with AI membership is to facilitate a community that learns and grows together. There are no experts on the future of design yet. here are no experts on the future of design yet. We’re all in the same boat, so let’s take advantage of that fact and be in it together. Let’s learn from each other. Let’s all ask the questions and try all the things and design as we go. Let’s see what happens.
This post is the first in a series of sharing some of the questions and conversations happening across Designing with AI events, labs, and talks.

With any change, it's important to remember that people are going to experience a range of emotions as they transition from one chapter (an ending) to a new one (a new beginning). The thing is, not everyone sees the potential of the new chapter yet. Often, leadership has spent more time considering and processing the shifts, so they tend to see it. But the individual contributors on the team haven't.
So, embracing any kind of change (reorganization, strategic shift, upskilling, etc.) requires intentional design of the change experience, including processes, conversations, and incentives for curiosity.
